Welcome to Comber Vehicle Hire. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website comber.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Comber Rental

All vehicle rentals with Comber are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or vehicle collection. This agreement contains terms, conditions, insurance details, charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there's any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail for that rental.

2. Account Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Comber, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (age limits may differ by vehicle type; additional charges may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address, along with any additional documents Comber requests at the time of vehicle collection.

3. Reservations and Billing

  • Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Comber location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are typically due when the vehicle is collected. All prices are shown in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Vehicle Pickup and Return

  • You must inspect the vehicle carefully at collection and report any pre-existing damage to Comber immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed at handover. Return the vehicle in the same condition as collected, normal wear and tear excepted. Any new damage will be assessed and charged to your account.

5. Liability and Insurance

  • Basic third-party insurance is included with all Comber rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are provided in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to lower your financial exposure. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount stated in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Modifications

Cancellation and amendment policies for Comber bookings differ by booking type and required notice period. Please refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the exact terms that apply to your reservation. Late cancellations or no-shows can result in charges.

7. Disallowed Uses

You must not use Comber's rented vehicle for:

  • Use for any illegal purpose or activity. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or similar hazardous activities. Transporting dangerous or hazardous materials. Sub-letting to third parties or permitting drivers not authorized by Comber. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Uses for which the vehicle is not intended...

Breaching these restrictions may result in immediate Comber rental termination and charges.

8. Limitation of Comber’s Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Comber shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Comber for the services in the twelve months immediately preceding the act or omission that gave rise to the claim.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms for Comber are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Amendments to Terms

Comber may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of Comber services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
